Result Tips for Students: IGNOU Delivers Time Bound Results
IGNOU has the distinction of declaring the Term End Results within 45 days from the date of examination. The University conducts TEE in June and December every year. The time span of the examination has been reduced recently from 30 days to 20 days. Lakhs of students appear in each TEE. Hence, it becomes very challenging for the University to declare the results so early.
Process of Evaluation of answer scripts and declaration of results
The University provides the flexibility to its learners to appear in any of the examination centres established across the country and outside the country. For this, the students has to fill up the examination centre of his choice. The list of examination centres for June 2018 examination can be found here: http://www.ignou.ac.in/userfiles/TENTATIVE%20EXAM%20CENTRE%20LIST%20FOR%20JUNE%202018%20TEE.pdf
The answer scripts from the exam center are sent to the concerned regional evaluation centre of the relevant zone. Currently there are 7 evaluation centers across the country. The answer scripts at the evaluation centre are segregated course wise and these are dispatched along with the award sheets and other formats to the approved evaluator for evaluation. After receiving back the award sheets and answer scripts from the evaluators, the regional evaluation center transmits the results to the Student Evaluation Division (SED), IGNOU, New Delhi. Thereafter, the results are announced on IGNOU website. The concerned students are also informed through SMS to their registered mobile numbers.
Re-evaluation
In case any learner is not satisfied with the result, there is a process of re-evaluation in IGNOU. The dissatisfied student can send the application in the prescribed format of re-evaluation along with a demand draft of Rs. 750/- to the concerned evaluation centre within one month of declaration of result. The result of re-evaluation can be checked in due course of time on this link: http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/studentzone/results/5
